PFC RAYMOND JAMES METTY

August 1, 1944 - December 25, 1966

Raymond James Metty was drafted into the Army. He entered the service via Selective Service, and served during the Vietnam War. He began his tour on April 14, 1966. Raymond had the rank of Private First Class (PFC). His military occupation or specialty was Laundry Bath and Impregnation Specialist, and he was attached to United States Army Vietnam USARV, 34th General Support Group, 625th General Support Company. 


During his service in the Vietnam War, Army PFC Metty experienced a traumatic event which ultimately resulted in loss of life on December 25, 1966 while in the South Vietnam, Binh Dinh province. 


PFC Raymond James Metty is honored on the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial in Washington DC. His name is inscribed at VVM Wall, Panel 13e, Line 79.
